Appealable Decisions

Those individuals who have been denied to sit for an examination, failed an examination, failed a proficiency test, have been denied promotion, or failed to recertify may appeal the decision to the American Board of Criminalistics (ABC) in writing within 45 days of the postmark on the letter bearing the decision. The letter appealing the decision must clearly state the reason for the appeal and must be mailed to the ABC Registrar at:

     ABC Registrar
     P.O. Box 1123
     Wausau, WI. 54402-1123

The Registrar will acknowledge the receipt of the appeal by Registered Mail to the appellant (that person appealing the decision of the ABC) within five business days.
